Community Projects

As part of our outreach program, club members plan, plant and maintain select public flower beds and gardens throughout the community.
We also support educational programs at meetings, the county fair, and through RCTC horticulture scholarships.

Mayowood ChristmasTour - Club volunteers design and decorate a room for the holidays for the Annual Mayowood Mansion Christmas Tours, an annual fund raiser for Mayowood Mansion maintenance funds.

Olmsted County Fair Flower Show & Workshop - Club members sponsor a Flower Show and a free flower arranging workshop providing flowers, containers and design assistance to fair attendees prior to the Olmsted County Fair Flower Show.

RCTC S.M.A.R.T Garden - Rose Project - During the summer, club volunteers maintain a rose garden at the RCTC Heintz Center S.M.A.R.T. Gardens, which are designed and created by the Horticulture Department students.

Soldier's Field Veterans Memorial - Club volunteers plant and maintain flower beds around the Soldiers Field Veterans Memorial from May into October.

History Center of Olmsted County Garden – manages and maintains the perennial garden in front of the History Center of Olmsted Country in partnership with the History Center staff.
